I have written several message during the last few days in regards to my home page which has been interfered with several times due to changes you are making. I know what you are trying to achieve but surely you should have been able to finalise the changes before now.
Earlier today today you had fixed the editing problems I had been having with my home page. Two hours later I had not changed a thing myself. I looked at the home page and it was an absolute mess. Far worse than at any other stage since you commenced carrying out the changes to your system.
One minute am am happy with what you have done. The next time I look at my home page it is an absolute mess. How long are you going to carry out these amateurish experiments. This has happened several times. I don't need to say it is not good enough. That should be obvious by looking at the page as it is at present. I have kept a screenshot of it as it is now. Later if anyone doubts it was as bad as it is now, I have the evidence.
"NOT EVER" ?. I lost count in the last few days. The last change has put the page back as it should be. I will not commit myself about anything else, in my tree, just yet.
Have a nice weekend.
Alan
However I then went from Chrome to Edge and when the tree came up the line lengths were again changed. I went back to Chrome and now the line lengths have certainly changed ONCE AGAIN.
THIS IS TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY. I SEE THAT YOU HAVE A MESSAGE FROM ANOTHER MEMBER SAYING HE HAS TROUBLE WITH EDITING AND LINES.
Also, please stop shouting. It is not helping.
At least you are now admitting you have problems. That is an improvement.
Incidentally I did not alternatively edit in different browsers this last time. I edited in Chrome. All looked fine. I shut that browser and opened Edge. The home page showed with line lengths out. I went back to Chrome to check and it was as showing in Edge. Line lengths changed once again. Yet OK immediately after editing.
I presume its still out but I have not looked for 20 minutes. With all the changes anything could have happened in that time.
The point at which a like wraps is determined by the "Edit" text-area. width When the About section is opened in edit, the lines will wrap at the width of the edit box. When you hit the Save button the system will remember the points where the lines wrapped. While viewing the about section, the lines are not wrapped. Instead, the system will use the locations of the wrap positions when you last saved the About in the edit.
You may need to readjust your lines if you had saved it from Edge/IE. Sorry about that
I think you have improved the site with your updates. Certain parts look better than previously. No doubt that you have made Tribalpages one of the most attractive Family history sites available. Over to members to now make good use of their home page. Also thanks for increasing the limit on size. I am no longer getting the message asking that I decrease the number of words.
Keep up the good work. The responses from Tribalpages Support have been substantially better of late than at any time in the past since my website was created about 10 years ago.
